in this case, there is an invisible "alignment" meter that takes her choices into effect to determine what "route" her character is on - Law, Neutral, Chaos

and the decision to take the girl's hand at the beginning of the game determines which story plays out, "Creation" or "Vengeance" (Creation is the base game, Vengeance is the "expansion")
