I think it's probably more so a reference to Selen given it's the same mama but it being a cute nod to Mint too is nice, it's also really sweet since she didn't even ask for the hairclip but it was added in anyway

Probably when she makes a decision on her future, there is no need for a new Mint model if she eventually joins Hololive, if she joins Vshojo debuting a new model would be great for a first stream, and if she debuts a upgraded model on her own she will probably stay indie for the long haul.
