When Vshojo hired Rushia we barely knew like a 10th of how crazy she is that we do now, she was still a very well respected talent at the time and there was a big audience of people who were eager to see her professionally backed again. Rushia was one of the biggest and best performing talents of her era, beyond needing to prove her success...until she showed everyone why she wouldn't succeed again.

Her official reasons for termination and her actions during proceedings would be bad enough on their own to never hire her. They didn't need to know she is 10 times worse, what they knew was more than enough. So they took her (and most likely mainly Kson) at their words that it was all lies and slenders and she got hired purely to stick it to Cover, because Kson was on corpo hate rampage, and it was convenient advertisement for vshojo. Not because she was "proven not to be too much unhinged" like the original post suggested was their hiring process

I know most dont trust her word but Kson has been on record saying that she didnt have any input on hiring Rushia and that Vshojo approached her off their own accord iirc

Because it's very smart idea to admit your company hired menhera on your own recommendation, when your company was already in hot waters after a scandal involving fake auditions that ended up with nepohires anyway. I don't think Kson is smart, but she is also not that stupid

I will say that many people during that time still would've rather believed Rushia over Holo, specially westoid normies and tourists which hate the nips and idol culture, vshojo's crowd essentially. BIG BAD CORPO LIES! has always been a narrative in this industry that people use each time there's drama so that plus some Kson nepotism and greed over her insane numbers was more than enough to get her in.
