as for Selen, I hope she's doing better, she will get support but it wouldn't surprise me if the diehard Nijitards try to anti her for exposing the shit that goes on in the company.

People will still apply, but the quality in the application pool will probably take a noticeable dip. I'd expect the next wave or two to consist of dull, "safe" streamers who don't really bring much to the table and/or people who only applied because they're hardcore fanboys of an existing talent.

I imagine viewcounts are gonna dip for new waves significantly too, since the company's name doesn't carry the same draw it once did. The Niji talents who're popular right now won't be affected much since their existing fans are there for them and not the company, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next wave's numbers sit in the 100-200 CCV range once the debut buff wears off.

This just backs up what I mean by the JP management seeing the EN branch as a passive revenue source without any kind of human association to it. Obviously this merch release was pre-planned, but anyone who gave even the vaguest shit would've read the room, realised it comes off in poor taste to shill when there's so much justified backlash, and postponed the announcement for a couple of days to let things settle down. Instead it looks like they're taking a purely cynical "Selen's gone so the numbers will go down, sell this merch and numbers will go up".
