I mostly appreciate where you're coming from here, but I think the greater problem is that paedophile accusations, as a concept, have become so diluted that the immediate repulsion has worn out. It's not 4chan pornography causing that, it's the endless supply of melodramatic rambling Google docs, Twitlongers, and even random rumours and dramamongering that have taken what should be the most damning thing you could say about a person, and trivialised it into something petty. In the Current Year, when I hear that someone is a paedophile, it could mean they are a 22-year-old streamer with a 19-year-old girlfriend, that they retweeted fanart of an ambiguously-aged anime character, that they had an underaged partner who lied and said they were older, that they made a joke that looks bad without context, that they were manipulated or groomed into posting dark material for someone else's gratification, or, in seemingly much-rarer situations, that they are sexually attracted to children.

The number of false accusations a typical person will encounter online far outnumber the genuine ones, so it's hard to be surprised when someone's initial reaction to seeing something like this is to comb through everything and exhaust every single possibility they could be innocent, even farfetched ones, before assuming guilt. I found myself doing it subconsciously even though I trust the forum staff to vet information for accuracy and know for a fact you have absolutely no reason to lie about this, and it wasn't until I broke down the facts for myself like this that it sunk in how bad this situation really is.

In an honest world we'd still have that violent repulsion upon hearing someone's a paedophile and act immediately, but letting that feeling take over in the real world we live in would result in a lot of innocent people having their reputations ruined for nothing, and would play directly into the hands of abusive people who use life-ruination tactics like riling up a mob in bad faith to hurt their victims. It's hideous all around, but when someone's gut reaction is to start picking everything apart and speculate on ways it might not be as bad as it looks, I get it.

Even after cleaning my timeline I still see Google Docs being shared around accusing people of the most sordid crimes with the most stupid evidence ever, this is one of the things that made me cynical when someone accuses others of sexual assault, one of the most degrading things you can do to another. These vermin lie for a piece of clout or just because the bitch didn't felt completely satisfied in body and soul, thus dude must be a monster under human skin.
And I was one of the first people jumping in defense of women and looking for the throat of the felon, I was raised like a white knight after all.

I mean this honestly - please point to me where Proctor advocated to do anything beyond archive, catalogue, and discuss that wasn't obvious argument related hyperbole.

Because frankly I think that part is all in your head making some weird extrapolation bout us vs. the Farms.

Don't love that this shit leaked out from the cesspool that is that thread, but this is the banter thread so it's probably the better place to have discussions that relate more to forum members than Kiki herself.

I guess as one of the "defenders" of Kiki I should at least attempt to explain where I was coming from, retarded as that may have been. Kiki's been groomed, abused, etc. by the same community she's been a part of for like a decade, and she never had a chance to be "normal." I don't want to argue nature vs nurture but for most of her teen years and into young adulthood everyone around her has been telling her this vile shit is normal and she accepted it, but maybe that's also on her for just going along with it instead of questioning any of it since I can't fathom accepting any of that as normal. She's deluded herself into thinking these people were "friends" when that's all a lie.

This entire situation is fucking bleak and vile, the "cycle of child sexual abuse" is depressing. Not everyone who is a victim becomes an abuser themselves but there is definitely a pattern. I've known victims of it and while they never mentioned any attraction to children themselves they did have other issues like heavy drug use and self-harm, those who got help did improve and maybe that's why I was coping that Kiki wasn't beyond redemption. It's on me for just skimming the farms thread before defending her and that was stupid.

It's clear she's beyond redemption and any claims of her "wanting to improve" are false given she put herself into a position of authority over young children even including physical contact with them given @thhrang's most recent post on it.

This is my last serious post on any of this and I'm just gonna sit back and watch the rest of the shitshow unfold and hope nothing happened to those kids.
