Honestly I have no damn idea what is going on with this shitshow at this point. Kirsche isn't banned per se, so there's nothing technically stopping her from having a meetup there, but there never really was in the first place. I mean what would you even do if a v-tuber set up an "unofficial" meet and greet at a convention while not physically present? Does security show up and unplug the monitor? That sounds like a good way to start a fucking riot if you unplug someone's oshi in front of them. For that matter, what's to stop a v-tuber from setting up a meet and greet in the cafe just down the street from the convention center by slipping 500 bucks to the cafe's day shift manager?

It's just... it's so stupid. Obviously this was never something that had active thought put into it in the first place, but somehow the retardation is exponentially increasing.

Again, intentional sabotage is not exactly off the table or a completely unsubstantiated rumor given we literally know for a fact that this year volunteers successfully blackballed Kirsche and unsuccessfully attempted to give the boot to Pippa last year, for political reasons. Said volunteers then thinking that the next best thing would instead be to fuck with Phase and ruin their events wouldn't be outside the playbook for these kinds of people.

Putting aside the possibility, I'd really rather this kind of rumormongering didn't make its way to the unskeptical retards. If you read the thread you will see that many people already took it for granted as FACT not SPECULATION. Sure all of us here hate Offkai and desperately want it to be true to vindicate our dislike but this kind of shit is dangerous when it is pointed at your oshi or used by bad actors to take down people they do not like, widespread acceptance of rrats causes nothing but issues. I really see no point in giving /vt/ of all places more power and influence over the silent majority and by extension the whole industry.

The main issue I had with the initial 4chan rrat is that they imply it was actual staff running the con and not just volunteers sabotaging it. They may be morons but I just don't they'd look at someone who sponsored the last 2 years significantly and go, "Yeah we don't need your money so we're gonna sabotage your events so you don't come back."

I mean, Holo does make its own. They're just using Offkai as an NA bonus.

Though the likes of Phase, Idol, some of the Brave brands getting together and making their own small corpo con probably would be an idea, and not just because including the last one would make La+ fedpost.

They could even attract friendly indies, similar to how Shigure Ui nonchalantly uses the services of Cover's 3D studio.

I believe it. No matter how she presents her vtuber self, it's clear she really cares for her fellow Phase girls, and I do believe she'd be one of the first to step up and do something like this, though I know she wouldn't be the only one to offer. Wholesome Dizzy love.

As far as the Kirsche stuff goes, I'm sure a point of this display is that it was pointless to ban her panel in the first place. Her meet-and-greet is happening at Offkai, and while it is unofficially, I'm sure there will be plenty of people participating in it. It makes the decision look even dumber than before because after the shit it stirred up, it's happening anyway, and it'll show that, shockingly, her appearance won't lead to the Third Reich rising up and taking over this shitty little convention. Not to mention, just adds more fuel to laugh at this whole shitshow of an event.

Hell, at the end of the day, her being there in an unofficial capacity is working out better than some who were supposed to be in events in an official capacity, including some from the company that dropped a fuck load of money to sponsor this. So, I applaud Kirsche in this. If anything, it makes for some good publicity for her.
