I honestly don't think many would get involved after the massive fallout of the first ones that did. It reminds me quite a lot of the Pro-Weed movement. The Progressive thought because the generally small-L libertarian leaning types that came out to vote for Weed meant they'd be able to ride that to a big Democrat wave. That 5-7% incumbent bump when Weed was on the ballot was just because Weed was on the ballot. It'd be the same class of audience misjudgment. Especially as only a bare majority of the audiences with be American, and you know the rest of the world just loves to listen to people around about American politics.
There's also the issue that the Vtubers might actual ask a logical question, mostly by accident, and blow up the entire façade they're going for. It'd be hilarious.
