Yeah, same here. I also ordered the entire set of merch for Yuko, and now that she graduated, Idol has ghosted any attempts to contact them for a refund for the product I haven't even gotten yet.

Make a huge spectacle on Twitter and tag the company. They will reach out to you and fix the problem if you delete the tweet or something. That seems to be the MO for most companies now-a-days.

Idol really does feel like a sinking ship at this point. This is not the first time we've seen odd unexplained absences, and the last two with Yuko and Pochi were obviously because of issues behind-the-scenes.

The recent acceleration is just more cause for concern, since this is quickly becoming the Niji business model where they continuously roll out new waves to lessen the financial impact of existing talents leaving.


That's genuinely unacceptable, and it fits in with some of the other unprofessional conduct we've seen from Idol. Aviel only cares about complaints if they hurt his optics - that's why no action was taken on paying that one artist and the clipper programme guy or resolving Pochi's issues until they were made public. If you know of other people who're also having trouble with Idol merch it might be worth making a thing of it.

Phase need to get their fucking shit together with merch too but at least they make some effort to communicate when there are unexpected delays (like the announcements for the Airi mugs and the bean plushie things); going silent and straight-up not responding to emails is just shady.


She's still in the honeymoon period and has just made a bunch of new friends. I'd be curious to see how keen she is in a year's time.

I am extremely skeptical on how Idol operates now. I am not sure if this is somewhat related to the BraveGroup merge thing but it feels like something that started happening around that time.

Probably just work culture in Japan. She probably feels bad about leaving work to take care of her family and won't allow herself to basically "mooch" off of the company time.

It happened all the times where I'm from. Someone of a-chan's resume could easily 3x her salary by jumping ships. As for the "why", while so much of Japan lives in the Tokyo region, reality is most move their as adults for work. Which likely means something serious with one or both parents, which is really bad to hear. We all hope for the best for all of them. A-Chan is also business English fluent and can easily find other work close to home, but it's still unfortunate for everyone around.

This is a pretty big possibility. Inb4 they live in Hokkaido or some shit which would be a pain in the ass to travel back and forth.

Guessing the person in question was fairly young and they do seem to be a mega Ollie fan. Ollie is the type that lurks on 2 view streams and seems to be hyper aware of her community so yes i would assume that this would hit her really hard.

IRyS watched or read some of it, read spoilers (she needs to know if her ship will sail before continuing), and hated it because she hates harems.

I wasn't talking about nijisanji, they will never actually pay the 3x salary part. More like Toyota, mitsubishi, sony, mitsubishi, etc. Her resume is good enough to pull a good job anywhere even if not vtubing related. There are a few Vtubers megacorpos with money that really needed actual management as well like the tv asahi

Brave also have money but largely lacks direction. But nothing about it look stable. And seems like they dont have control over its branches. Still alot more enticing than niji though.
