I assure you, Dear Reader, @Jambalaya's Irys foot dox was integral to the stability of HoloEN.
With the number of times she said that there were people who signed up but had to unfortunately drop out because of scheduling conflicts, you'd think it would be hammered into their brains. Doesn't help that they said there were a lot of people who wanted to participate but didn't because they couldn't find anyone to team up with. Hell, Selen specifically called out Kagetsu, Shu, and Nari and thanked them for initially joining separately but then coming together to make a team.
Why do you think I come here?
It is not easy to schedule people across multiple timezones over the world and multiple companies, especially during this season, for an event with a game that is not exactly everyone here's main focus. Getting enough people for 16 teams is impressive enough. That is just 4 teams shy of max capacity. Especially since it seems like the actual date came up pretty suddenly.
Also, if it does well enough, it can open up the possibility for more in the future with possibly better timing so the people who wanted to join but couldn't would be able to participate.

I doubt Ina, Gura, Kiara, Fauna, Mumei, Kronii, IRyS, Biboo, FuwaMoco or Nerissa wanted in, so that would only leave the rest of HoloID, Matsuri, Choco, Roboco and Towa for Holo. If not from Holo then that would mean only more Niji members would have joined.

Like someone else said choco matsuri is on the splatoon tournament. So likely those 2 wanted in and couldn't.
