Nah, they're out there - you just have to actually go to the right places/events - like underground doommetal/deathmetal band gigs. They're usually a bandmember/crewmember sidepiece or simp. You might even get to talk to one outside the bar on smoke breaks in between sets. They're not really that interesting which is why the other build is more popular/visible - being it's just another manic-pixie-dream girl dressed in goth regalia. Neil Gaiman's version of Death from his Sandman series may have also contributed to this - given how it's literally one of the earliest versions of the stereotype in a somewhat niche yet popular media at the time.
